The first time a community gathers around a shared vision, something shifts. Not just in the village — in the people themselves.
What We did
Earth Healers Foundation organised the first major community event in Kheel Jasli — centred on the installation of a large flex depicting Lord Shiva at the entrance of the village. The choice was deliberate and deeply considered: in Hindu tradition, Lord Shiva is intimately associated with the natural world — with mountains, rivers, forests, and all living beings.
Placing his image at the entrance of the village was a statement that this place was sacred, that it deserved respect, and that the act of littering or polluting it was not just an environmental transgression but a spiritual one.The flex was unveiled in a ceremony attended by community members, local leaders, and volunteers — a shared moment of reflection and rededication. Following the unveiling, a heartfelt prayer meet was held, bringing the community together in a spirit of solidarity, gratitude, and collective commitment to the Earth.
What's next
Earth Healers Foundation plans to hold regular community events — seasonal celebrations, recognition ceremonies, and awareness gatherings — that sustain the sense of shared purpose and cultural connection to the natural world that the first event helped create.
