Earth Healers Foundation was born in the summer of 2024 when one woman picked up a garbage bag and started cleaning her own street. What followed was something no one had planned — a movement. Earth Healers Foundation is the brainchild of Dr. Priya Saklani, Founder and President of the organisation. She believes in conscious living and deeply acknowledges the impact that one's daily actions have on the environment.
Her vision is to combat climate change, protect biodiversity, and promote responsible stewardship of natural resources — ensuring a healthy planet for all living beings. The foundation focuses on three interconnected pillars: environment restoration, community empowerment, and sustainability. But it did not begin with a formal structure or a grant. It began with a personal decision to stop waiting for someone else to act.
"If you want to change society, start at your own doorstep first." — Dr. Priya Saklani, Founder & President
Dr. Saklani went to each household — speaking to residents, homestay owners, labourers, and shopkeepers — raising awareness about clean environments and healthy living. She transformed neglected areas by planting trees and creating small sidewalk gardens where dumping sites had previously existed, planting over 200 plants along roadsides. Her mission was to find eco-friendly ways to dispose of waste and create more green spaces amid the concrete sprawl — restoring the essence of the mountains and teaching people the significance of a clean environment.
Where we are today
Type your paragraph hereEarth Healers Foundation operates across Kheel Jasli, Kheel Barser, and Kumarhatti in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. We have cleaned villages, built composting infrastructure, planted hundreds of trees, restored natural water sources, engaged government institutions, and inspired communities to take ownership of their environment. We believe that what we have built in Kheel Jasli is a replicable model — one that every village in Himachal Pradesh can follow.
